Letter to the Editor: A rewarding experience here

Posted 05/21/2012

I am not a resident of Nacogdoches, but recently my husband and I had a rewarding experience in your community. While at our lake house on Toledo Bend Reservoir, my husband became very ill and was life-flighted to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. While only God holds the power of life and death, the quick and thorough actions of the nurses and doctors were remarkable, certainly contributing to God's plan to spare his life. While we hold deepest gratitude for everyone we dealt with, I would like to especially note Dr. Joseph Scamardo, a neurologist. I believe he will be a blessing to your town. Kudos also to Dr. Richard Mau, a cardiologist who serves the people of your community. His diligence with my husband's case was amazing.
