Brittany Jones Pedi/OB Nurse

Anyone who knows Brittany Jones would not be surprised to know that she has been nominated for a Wow Moment three different times, but we’re still really impressed with that fact! Brittany is a nurse on Pedi/OB and recently had a fragile patient who needed protective modifications (called reverse isolation techniques) to lessen his/her exposure to infectious organisms. As fate would have it, the restroom malfunctioned in this patient’s room. Brittany made it her personal mission to keep the number of people coming into the patient’s room as low as possible, so she managed to unclog the toilet and mop the room herself, instead of calling maintenance and housekeeping. She did this as quickly as possible, minimizing infectious exposure AND inconvenience to her patient. Wow Brittany – way to protect your patient!
