LOT (Leaders of Tomorrow)  Crew 2011
We educated 8th graders from all over Nacogdoches County this week, when the Leaders of Tomorrow came for a tour. Instead of a regular tour, we staged an interactive accident scene, complete with "injured" 8th graders! The realistic exercise safely shows the kids what it's like in the field as a paramedic, followed by a trip to the ER where nurses detail the steps of assessing and treating a trauma patient. At the end of the day, we hope they realized the importance of wearing a seatbelt and maybe even picked up an interest in a career in the medical field.
