Dietary

Registered dietitians oversee nutritional needs, meal planning and food preparation for hospital patients and cafeteria patrons. They are willing to answer any questions about our patients' diets, so let your nurse know if you'd like to talk with a dietitian. Our dietitians also offer individualized, one-on-one, condition-specific nutritional education. The service is available with a prescription from a physician and is often covered by medical insurance. For more information, call 569-4106.

Guest Trays
For your convenience, guests who are involved in a patient's care and unable to leave the room for meals may order guest meal trays. Guest trays must be ordered at least one hour prior to meal service and will be delivered to the patient's room at the same time the food cart is delivered to the nurses' station. The cost is $4 per meal, which is due upon delivery of the tray. Just ask your nurse for assistance.

Cafeteria Services
The Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital Cafeteria is located on the north end of the hospital on the first floor. The cafeteria provides freshly prepared breakfast fare, homestyle meats and vegetables, a salad bar and fresh baked desserts. A wide variety of beverages are available including free coffee and iced tea.

Breakfast 7:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Midday Break 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Dinner (Weekdays) 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Dinner (Weekends) 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Vending Machines
For your convenience, vending machines are accessible 24 hours a day, in several locations, offering a variety of fresh cold sandwiches, snacks, candy, chips and cold drinks. Microwave ovens are available at each nurses' station, as well as the ICU/IMC waiting area, which also features a convenient visitor break area, with table and chairs for dining. The main food machines are located on the first floor, near the cafeteria.
