Occasionally, a patient or a family member may disagree with the proposed plan of care because of their moral or ethical beliefs. If the issue cannot be resolved after talking about those concerns with your physician and nursing staff, you may discuss the issue with a representative from the hospital’s Ethics Committee. Inform your nurse that you would like to speak with a representative from the Ethics Committee.
