In an effort to better serve our patients, we created the Patient Access Center, or PAC, to facilitate a quicker registration process for those needing direct admissions and pre-registration for surgery. The PAC will serve patients Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Please note, the admissions department closes at 6:30 p.m., so patients must arrive before that time. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
One stop, full service!  –  The patient access center has technicians to draw blood, perform EKGs and x-rays on site in the PAC, so patients no longer have to venture around the hospital to access the different services needed.  PAC nurses can start initial antibiotics immediately for patients being admitted and can initiate room assignment procedures as soon as they receive faxed orders from your physician’s office. This speeds the admissions process even further.
Surgery patients – To shorten wait times for our surgery patients, we encourage physician offices to fax orders and patient info sheets prior to patient arrival, so we can pre-register you and check insurance.   It will still be necessary for you to come in prior to surgery for tests and to sign forms, but we can schedule this to be done at your convenience. Just have your physician’s office call the PAC at 569-4764 to initiate.
Patient safety – For optimum safety, we ask you to have your medication list on-hand with your physician orders, because we find that our patients frequently have trouble remembering all of their meds during times of stress.
