The skilled surgeons at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital are trained to treat our patients using the most advanced technology available in the field.

Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital is the first hospital in Nacogdoches to offer minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery.

Our new da Vinci® robotic surgery system gives surgeons eyes that can see with the clarity of a high-powered scope and hands that can operate with a range of motion greater than the human wrist – with unmatched accuracy and precision. Once invasive, complex procedures, including prostatectomies and hysterectomies, can now be performed through incisions the size of a dime. What does this mean for you?

  • Less pain
  • Less blood loss
  • Less recovery time
  • Less scarring
  • Less risk of infection
  • Less nerve damage

The da Vinci® robotic surgery system is an advanced tool that consists of a surgeon’s console, a cart at the patient’s side with four interactive robotic arms and a high-definition vision system. Operated by the skilled surgeons at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, the system’s 360-degree jointed instruments refine the surgeons’ hand movements through motion scaling and tremor reduction. Because the precise incisions limit blood loss, surgeons operating with the da Vinci® system can work with greater clarity.  The vision system not only magnifies the surgeon’s field of vision, it also provides the surgeon with a three-dimensional image of the surgical field.
