Memorial Celebrates Holidays with Christmas Spirit and Enthusiasm

This year, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital celebrated the holiday season with multiple events. Employees were encouraged to participate in a Christmas themed parade and door decorating contest; we held our annual Christmas party; and children from Thomas J. Rusk Elementary school performed Christmas carols for us in the lobby and in Bright Cafe. For the parade, board members Farrar Bentley, Fred Groover and Sean Hightower served on the judges panel. For door decorating, judges were board members Lisa King, Dr. Ryan Head and James Stockman. The lab took home first place in the door decorating contest with their “12 Days of Lab Work” theme executed with a glove Christmas tree and test tube wreath. The dietary department took second place with their Polar Express train which included pictures of each staffer. In the Christmas parade, first place went to cath lab/cardio for their version of Santa’s sleigh. Coming in at a close second place was the PT/cardiac rehab department with their own version of Santa’s sleigh. Thank you to all who participated in this year’s festivities. We can’t wait till next year!
