Hospital offers class for alternative handling of aggressive behaviors
Our ER leadership recently coordinated a class on the management of aggressive behaviors, training 25 of our staff members on how to de-escalate contentious situations, using their words and bodies. The Beaumont Baptist Behavioral Health unit provided this training class to our ER, ICU, IMC, security and house supervisor staff. The two-day class will be offered to staff from these areas again on Feb. 20 and 21. The goal is to eventually have our own campus course facilitators that would implement this program and offer training to more areas.
