Hospital district board recognizes job well done by Tony Mendez
Calling 911 can be a terrifying experience. Often this is when people are at their worst and most vulnerable. Nacogdoches County EMS understands this and tries very hard to help their patients navigate the process. This is especially true if you happen to get Tony Mendez dispatched to your call.
Tony has been a paramedic with our EMS for over 22 years and exemplifies the qualities we promote at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. He puts his patients first and cares for all people with compassion, dignity and respect. He has proven himself to be a leader among his peers and is someone others go to as a resource. He has mentored numerous EMS personnel throughout his years and sets a fine example of how care should be delivered, and how to be a team player both in EMS and within the hospital and community. Tony is an excellent paramedic, a teacher to many and a friend to all.
