Wow Moment of July 2016 - Juan Hernandez

Nacogdoches firefighter, Ray Cole, posted this story on Facebook recently, and our own Lois Harkey felt it was worthy of a Wow nomination for paramedic Juan Hernandez, who is stationed at the firehouse. In the post, Ray explained that a frequent bicycle-riding visitor to the fire station had stopped by to say hi one day, this time without his bike. “He stopped to say hi and to wait a bit because it had started to sprinkle outside. We asked him where his bike was at, and he told us the tube was shot in his back tire. Without a word, all of us (including Juan) looked at each other and took him home, picked up his bike and brought it back to the station to work on it. When we brought his bike back to him he had a smile from ear to ear. Wasn’t long before he came riding up to the station to just say thanks to us.” Lois felt like Juan should be recognized for his part in such a touching story. “He is always doing good for others. He makes a difference. What a ‘wow’ moment!” All of these kind firefighters deserve a Wow Moment, and we know Juan is proud to represent them. They all have heart!
