Rinajoyce Abril-Walker, APRN, CNM, IBCLC

Rinajoyce (“Rina”) Abril-Walker obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University specializing in Midwifery. She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She finds great pleasure and honor in lovingly helping babies to be born into the arms of their parents. Her primary focus is assisting the women she serves in having an informed, supported and empowered childbirth that includes shared decision-making, emotional support, fitness, nutritional counseling and community. She has served as a Certified Nurse Midwife in both out of hospital settings (home and birth center) as well as in hospital settings.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children. Rina delivered both her children into the hands of midwives after a beautiful, unmedicated water birth at a freestanding birth center in June 2014 & July 2015. Rina believes in the God given ability for a woman to birth babies naturally, which she has witnessed countless times supporting women during labor. She is always amazed by the strength of women and the miracle of childbirth.
